There is a spam checker that will blacklist IPs hitting the server at
a rate that averages out to ~100K hits per day. So this means, you are
wanting to use the service for more than 100K lookups per day. This
spam filter is in place to prevent people unnecessarily spamming the
server slowing down things for the rest.
First thing is to make sure, for each IP lookup you aren't
unnecessarily making lookups - for example, some people are including
both the javascript and statistics scripts in their pages - this is
unnecessary as a call to the index.php page will include both - eg see
http://www.geoplugin.com/webstatistics/tracking_code
Another thing to try is to cache your lookups, and use your own cache
before making calls to geoplugin. This can cut things by as much as 20%.
