I would not ordinarily respond to a question that just seeks homework help, but these questions are so basic that I'm afraid the student really doesn't understand what's going on.

Absolutely true in TWO dimensions, absolutely false in THREE dimensions.

Coplanar lines lie in one plane. Can't you have two lines lying in one plane which intersect? Like "V"

Since any two intersecting lines determine a plane, true.

If the segments are parallel, the lines containing them are parallel (by definition), so they must be coplanar.

So clearly false. Draw any number of diagrams of 2 intersecting lines forming an obique (non-right) angle. Like the letter V .

Sorry, I read # 1 too fast as I was checking. I thought it said "Two lines perpendicular to the same line are parallel to each other." The question is "Two lines perpendicular to the same line are perpendicular to each other." Certainly FALSE in a plane, where 2 lines perpendicular to same line are parallel to each other. Also false in space.

You SHOULD not be taking geometry if you do not know the answers to these questions. These are extremely basic. I think you should go to lower courses and review them. Thus you will be better prepared for geometry.
This is what will take you to the best route and you will learn a lot of stuff with this way.
