Definitions in mathematics are "working" definitions- you use the precise words in the definitions in proofs and solving problems. Definitions must be learned by heart. If you know what "perpendicular" means, the first question is trivial.

I believe this would be considered cheating by BYU's course policies... It says open book, the answers can be easily found, and you are learning nothing by having people answer for you.
