As part of their 350th anniversary celebration the UK Royal Society has
developed a special website:

http://trailblazing.royalsociety.org/

The website highlights scientific discovery during the last 350 years.
Fifty papers have been chosen as the most influential during that time
period. The Lovelock stage-setting paper in the Phil Trans issue is chosen
as one of those papers. Each 50 year period on the 350 year timeline has a
different graphic that relates to the most influential scientific work going
on during that period. The period from 2000-2050 features the graphic we've
all seen of the Flettner Rotor ship from Salter and Latham's work.
