It's an "Indian Princess". The rear hub is dated 1951, which sounds about right, although this rear wheel probably isn't completely OE, as it has a French Rigida rim - the front is Dunlop, which is more likely?

As many of the components are Phillips, I'm assuming it was made by them - and this is before they merged with Raleigh when TI aquired Raleigh Industries in 1960.

Nice Wrights sprung horsehair saddle, in very good condition ...

I have found saddles like that more comfortable that I initially thought just looking at them.

Looks to be in great condition, especially the decals.  New cables & housings…cleaning & polishing with oil…lovely…and what a great name for an American (or Canadian) market…any men’s versions?  Indian Chief?   What an opportunity for a costume with the bike around Lake Pepin……

Oh thanks for the reminder. I and the wife joined the national railway historic association's annual convention in my town for a train ride this summer. They had 8 days of train rides around eastern Iowa. Some were pulled by steam engines. The one we rode on was more conventional diesel electric powered with a number of old passenger cars each of which had it's own name. We choose the Lake Pepin rail car of course.

$250. In part so some hipster doesn't buy it and leave it outside all winter!

It's a beautiful bike and interesting, too. I spent a day overhauling & cleaning it (at $13 an hour), I will post more pictures soon ...
