We had a fairly wide ranging discussion that included some of the

Anyone want to offer an opinion an why all languages but HTML seem to
have been in decline this year?

John also mentioned a possibly promising programming project he had
just heard of at a local college library involving federating queries
across multiple bibliographic data bases. There might an opportunity
for interested book clubbers to participate. He'll be looking into
and will let us know more next time.
