Hello,

Some may have interest to replace Adobe Flash by mplayer (through
gecko-mediaplayer) on Youtube and other video sites. essentially for
performance purpose.

It's possible to do this with a GreaseMonkey script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/50771
which basically replaces the Adobe Flash embedded object by a video
object, which is then handled and played by gecko-mediaplyer /
gnome-mplayer / mplayer.

If you don't have GreaseMonkey on your Firefox, I have also developed a
standalone add-on which does the same. It's in attachment. You need to
extract the files in your Mozilla extensions folder.

Any comment is welcome,

Grégoire
