Gmail page constantly reloads with gears and offline sync

I've looked everywhere for a solution to this and and waited a long
time to see if updates resolve it:
If I try and use Gears in Firefox to run the offline mail facility,
the page just gets caught in a constant reload loop and is unuseable.
any ideas?

I've got the same problem. It happens both with Gmail and Google Docs, but only with Firefox. Works fine with Chrome. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Something similar is happening to me, the difference is I'm trying to use google docs on google chrome.

clean cookies(and sometimes sessions), and reload browser this helped me
