Updates for Safari 4 & FF 3.5

why does it take this long to get updates for Safari 4 & FF 3.5???

What is the projected timeline for getting gears to working in Safari
4 on Mac OX 10.6?

I believe Gears is already working in Firefox 3.5.4. To my knowledge
it's only Safari 4 on Mac OS X 10.6.1 (or Windows) that does not
function properly.

If anyone from the core Gears development team can offer an estimated
time for release of a patch to get it working on Safari 4, I'd hugely
appreciate it.

In fact, I was never able to get Gears working on 3.5.1, 3.5.2, or
3.5.3. Right now, using 3.5.3, I don't even see an installer available
from the Gears home page.

I'm on Mac 10.5.8, G4.
I have not gotten a "FF 3.5.4 upgrade is available" message, but I'll
check the mozilla site.

Do any Gears developers or others involved read this list? I posted a similar topic weeks ago and haven't seen any response. It would be helpful even to know whether this is a Gears problem or a Safari issue.

Gears does NOT work with ANYTHING on 10.6:
