Gears + Windows Mobile 6.1

Hi,

I'm trying to make gears work on a Symbol/Motorola MC75 terminal with
Windows Mobile 6.1 installed.

However, I am running into problems:
1. The IE plugin installed correctly, however, when i go to the sample
app ( http://code.google.com/apis/gears/samples/hello_world_resourcestore.html
), i get the following error displayed in red inside the webpage:
"Could not create local server: Google Gears has not been initialized
correctly. Please ensure that you are using the most recent version of
gears_init.js."
2. I tried with Opera mobile and could not get further:
2.1 tried with latest Opera mobile, which is 10 beta, the plugin does
not work
2.2 tried to find the old 9.51 release which i found on cnet, again
the plugin did not work (gears.google.com automatically says that the
release is not supported).

Any ideas? I was impressed by the number of option for the WM but this
is really a setback. I even tried on another terminal, (Motorola MC55)
but have the same problems so it seems to be a generic thing, am I
doing something wrong. It works OK on an old cheap HP iPaq PDA with
WM5 :((
