Localserver manifest question

If you have 100 files in your application, and change one of them, you
must update the version string in the manifest. Does that mean that
all 100 get re-downloaded?

Nope, Gears does conditional GETs on the resources. They are only
downloaded if the server says that they have changed. You will get one
HEAD request for each resource, but that load shouldn't be much
different from your regular AJAX application.
