Welcome to the Google Gears Discussion Group!

Google Gears allows developers to enhance their AJAX applications to be able to run even when their users are offline.  This is the official discussion group for web developers interested in using Google Gears in their applications.

Please read the "Google Gears Discussion Group Charter" before posting here.  You can find the Charter below, under the heading "Articles".

Overview

Google Gears provides APIs for offline application access and data storage.  These APIs let developers build applications that can run even if the web server can't be contacted, and allow those applications to store data offline using SQL syntax.  If you use Google Gears or are interested in it, this group is for you!

Google Gears is open source, and is licensed according to the terms of the BSD License.
