  On December 9th, the Supreme Court of Canada released its response to &lt;br&gt; the government of Canada&#39;s reference on marriage (&amp;quot;The Proposal for an &lt;br&gt; Act respecting certain aspects of legal capacity for marriage for civil &lt;br&gt; purposes&amp;quot;). The decision was unanimous. To date 28 judges across the &lt;br&gt; country have validated our equality rights.
