League Rules Tweak

Hi all.

I'm proposing we tweak the league rules such that, if enough players fail to pitch for a league game: i.e. there are only three players, and we expected only for, the present players score a timeout, so that they have one game to their credit, and 1/2 VP extra.

Would this be acceptable?

Sounds feasible, although this may need revisiting if there are more "no-show" league games than live games? That said, I'm glad we started running a league up here too

I doubt it'll happen often, since we try to organize league games where we are guaranteed a quorum.

Why not just play the game, with a minumum of 3 people required for a league game, and if only 2 people pitch up nothing happens?

Three player games would make game wins too easy in my opinion.

Also, you're just moving the problem up by one. What happens if a game is scheduled to be a three player, and only two people pitch? Then they go home empty handed.

Nvm, I just reread the original mail. For some reason where you said "so that they have one game to their credit" I read it as "game win to their credit" instead of "games played to their credit"... 8/
