Hello All,

Just a reminder that we are back at Audrey and Benson's tomorrow night at 7pm. Carol will be leading us in Revelation 4. No one signed up for snacks that I know of, so if you''re feeling ambitious, feel free to bring something to share. After this week we will be deviating slightly from our planned schedule. We will start Miracle Work next week and continue in it for the following three weeks leading up to the Miracle Work conference.

Also, most of you know that Rose Wilson has been in the hospital the last two weeks. We've planned to get a meal train started for the Wilson's once Rose is back from the hospital. If any of you have games or DVDs to loan her to help pass the time, please bring them tomorrow, and we'll get them to her at the hospital. We'll bring a big card that everyone can sign, but if you want to write her a personal note she'd love that too. The Wilson's could also use Starbucks gift cards and Costco gift cards (for gas) if you are looking for another way to help right now.

Hey, all! 

For anyone who is interested, the author of a great book (and many others), Approaching the Heart of Prophecy, is coming to Oceanside to lead a conference at the Awakening church. His name is Graham Cooke and the conference is taking place Friday night on October 11th and all day Saturday, October 12th. 

More information can be found on http://iawakening.org. 

Super excited about it! Maybe we could arrange some sort of carpool for those interested in attending.

Just a reminder that we will be starting the book discussion out of Miracle Work by Jordan Seng tomorrow. We'll cover chapters 1 and 2. The discussion will be easy to follow even if you haven't read. We're at Audrey and Benson's place with a 7pm start time. See you all tomorrow!

Jen and Pete are very ill (keep them in your prayers) so we're changing locations tonight.  We will be at Frank and Kellie Uyeda's place in Carmel Valley.  Our Pumpkin/Fall potluck will be getting started at 6:30pm. Worship and prayer as scheduled.  Sorry for the late notice change!

Tips for finding our place: 

The name of the complex is "The Lakes". It is fine to park in any uncovered spot. Our front door faces the tennis courts, so I suggest driving until you find the tennis courts and looking for our building from there.

I will not be there tonight because I'm taking one more birthday cake at my AA Men's meeting.

Wanted to let you know that I met with Michelle Wilson this morning. She's on board with our Moving Toward God (MTG) ministry.

She suggests we try a couple of missionary "experiments" over the next couple of months before bringing it to the church at large. Given the holiday season, I think we could find a few opportunities of where to do outreach.

Suggestion that we think about one or two marginalized communities and research upcoming festivals, community events or meeting spots to "experiment".

i.e. I know of an event called CHILIPOLOOZA. It's an annual fundraiser for the LGBT AA convention next year.  People make their own chili to contribute ...as well as donate desserts for a dessert auction at the event. They also need volunteers to help prepare food and serve.

It happens this year on Friday November 15th at 7 p.m. at United Christian Church in Hillcrest across from the DMV office.
