And your prompter, Dan Blacksberg!

Come see the cues and sounds fly!

John Zorn's Cobra is one of his most famous pieces and not only has he
performed it all over the world, but regular "renegade" performances,
ones without his supervision, also happen everywhere. Cobra is a
musical game, which uses visual cues to set up different types of
musical interaction. The cues take the form of hand signals and large
cardboard signs, the musical material is all improvised and can
include anything from a quiet, intimate duo to dense solo and group
textures to a full ensemble passing around cartoon sounds at blinding
speeds.
