Compilation issues on recent GNU/Linux
|
| |
Hi!
Gargoyle didn't compile anymore on Debian, I just had to make a couple
minor changes:
1. clock_gettime (garglk/sysgtk.c) requires -lrt.
Well, it has been a requirement for a while AFAICS, so my guess is
that it was previously gotten indirectly through pkg-config --libs,
but not anymore.... more »

Digest for garglk-dev@googlegroups.com - 1 Message in 1 Topic

One off-the-wall possibility -- probably not realistically doable -- is a
section that gives optimal ini settings for certain games that display well
only in certain formats or screen widths. I'm not sure how many there are.
The standard distro used to have settings for Curses, for example, and
IIRC, Chistminster needs a slightly wider screen to show the map? Some of... more »

Problem with new feature
|
| |
Hi, there!
The trouble goes as follows: now, the interpreters in Gargoyle extract
the name of the interactive fiction piece from the ifiction
bibliographic information, when present.
So, instead of "cloak.z5" you see "Cloak of darkness - Whoever" in the
title bar. Unfortunately, this is not working right for spanish IF. If... more »

Feature request: Tab Complete
|
| |
I suspect that you might be more active here than on intfiction.org, so I wanted to voice my request here. A feature that I've been sorely missing is tab complete. It's a quality of life type issue, but if you could implement it, it would make me forever happy. Thank you for all your hard work, Gargoyle is my favorite terp.... more »

Directory memory in Linux versions of Gargoyle
|
| |
This is a sort-of idle curiosity question. Probably already been asked
and answered. The Windows build of Gargoyle very kindly remembers,
probably using the registry, the last-accessed directory for loading a
game and a saved-game-state. So the next time you go to use it, it
starts in those directories by default. This is convenient.... more »

Fullscreen no longer possible?
|
| |
Dear list members, I’m running Gargoyle on a small netbook, and use the netbook feature in KDE, which automatically runs all applications fullscreen (maximised with no titlebar). This worked very well with the old version of Gargoyle, but in 2011.1, there is a small gap at the right and bottom of the window. The gap is a... more »

Trouble compiling Gargoyle 2011.1

Hi!
I’m having some trouble compiling Gargoyle 2011.1 on openSUSE 11.4.
The ‘jam’ command ends with:
Cc build/linux.release/garglk/bab eldata.o
garglk/babeldata.c:32:20: fatal error: treaty.h: No such file or
directory
compilation terminated.
cc -c `pkg-config freetype2 gtk+-x11-2.0 gdk-x11-2.0 gobject-2.0... more »
