Why did yo limit the left side to 100 pixels

I am having a hard time creating a chart with the limitation you set
for the left side. If you type anything but small names for tasks
there is no room. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, you can resize columns by two methods

a. Put your mouse cursor to the right edge of the header cell, the cursor
will change to resize, click and hold mouse button and move left/right to
change width (similar to Excel etc).
b. Double click the header cell to open up the Column properties dialog and
then change the Width value.

To change the width of the left panel, put your mouse on the separator, the
thick vertical line that divides left and right. Click and hold mouse
button to move left and right.
