hello g4c-ers!

one week to go on crowd funding for our national, transmedia campaign to reduce homelessness--@home.  we'd be very much obliged if you could help spread the word to your networks!

here's some quick language you can cut & paste for FB & Twitter:

Get to know the face of homelessness in your city — check out this innovative smartphone game, and then support the @home campaign. http://youtu.be/aCqikdAqYj4

thank you kindly!

Get to know the face of homelessness

Support the development of an innovative smartphone game that moves players beyond clicktavism to solve homelessness in public space, one city at a time.

Hello Friends & Colleagues,

I wanted to let you know about a new game I designed & that we're raising funds to develop:

I have teamed up with the Kindling Group (www.kindlinggroup.org), a production company known for social issue documentaries and innovative digital outreach campaigns, to crowdfund for @home, an interactive smartphone game that's part of a wider project exploring homelessness in the United States.

As media-makers, socially-engaged citizens, activists and/or technology innovators, I thought this game, and @home’s digital organizing model, might be interesting to you. Here are some of the details:

- The interactive game is part of a transmedia campaign, including a documentary film, that looks at homelessness through the eyes of the people who are experiencing it.
- The @home game was prototyped at POV’s Hackathon last month and came away with a user-friendly interface that incorporates geo-located mapping and cutting-edge video overlay technology. You can see a preview of the game here: http://youtu.be/aCqikdAqYj4
- All elements of this campaign are designed to have a measurable impact. For example, as you play the game, you’ll fundraise for real home "move-in kits" (like pots & pans, towels, or sheets) for people in your community.

If you want to learn more, all of the details for the project live on our Indiegogo page here: http://igg.me/at/athome. I can also send along more materials and arrange a follow-up chat at your convenience.  Please email me at he...@futureperfectlab.com.

OUR CAMPAIGN ENDS IN A WEEK...
I would be most grateful if you would join our efforts by making a donation and/or helping spread the word to your networks!

Thanks for your support!

Heidi
