Hello,

We currently run NUnit tests on are dev boxes and mstests on the TFS
build server.
I would prefer to just run mstests and think gallio might be the
answer....

I’ve seen it reload the tests when the dll changes but can it run the
last selected and popup if tests fail?
This means it will be testing as I develop and warn me if a test has
broken.

Graham, can we add autotesting behavior to Icarus somehow?

That's something I am planning to put into Sail (whenever I get back
around to it).

Sounds like a good idea!

I have done a Proof of concept on something like this, it works, but it's not great code:

OK, there's now an option to run tests automatically after reloading (see attached).

How about we make this a toggle-button in the main toolbar?

However there are really 3 states, so maybe we should use 3 image buttons configured to be mutually exclusive.  (I don't recommend using a combo box since it would be harder to use.)

[Normal] [Auto-Reload] [Auto-Test]

Hmm, s'good idea. (Might be a bit tricky to find appropriate icons!).

Sorry for the slow reply; I've been on holiday for a couple of
weeks...

Shall I just get the latest core release and give it a go?

Thanks again for you hard work, I think its a nice way work with unit
tests running in the background.

Cheers, m.

Where can I get a build that contains this new feature?

Also, will it notifiy you if the results have changed / there are new
faliures?

Thanks again

mike.

I don't think it notifies changes / new failures yet, but I'm sure Graham
could be persuaded to add that sort of thing into Icarus for v3.0.7. :-)

Get the latest build here:
http://ccnet.gallio.org/Distributables/

I'm still working on the release notes and testing stuff before I release
v3.0.6 out into the wild.

Jeff.

If any tests have failed it should make some attempt to attract your attention (whatever Form.Activate does!).
