Hi Folks,
It's been a while!
I spotted Simon's post about his 402 cones so I thought I'd fire one off
regarding the pots on my 401As, which I have just dug out and am in the
process of sorting out.
A few years back (2020 to be precise) I sent my 401C crossovers to
Wilmslow Audio in order to get the pots removed and any other components
replaced where necessary and it cost me £90. I considered doing the same
again with the boards from my 401As and they want £200 now, which is
more than I want to pay.
Are there any good guides out there on how to work on the pots
themselves? I have little experience in electronics, so any advice needs
to be aimed at someone barely competent with a soldering iron!
Sean
