turntable schema

It looks like we have members of the group who are in contact with various specialists to get their turntable repaired. Is there anyone who could get a schematic produced by one of these contacts? I will contribute to costs as I am sure other turntable owners would also do so.

I'm going to get into mine during the holidays. Do we have anyone with
schematic skills?

Mine are on the wrong side of OK, but will pursue it nonetheless.


It's clear that:

1. If your table isn't dying yet, it's probably not far off.

2. We're going to have to break down the servo control mechanism and replace
it with more modern parts. I may do a capacitor flush first and see what
happens.

3. There is no "off the shelf" fix.

My electronics engineer is back in the states now, I could get him to possibly take on the project as he'd of done speed controllers for equipment before. He's a Microchip partner so works in digital as well as analogue circuits. Let me know what you want me to ask and I'll forward a proposal to him.

Hello this is what we need:

The idea would be to have the electronics reversed engineered into a schematic along with a component list. This would mean that any repair person would be able to understand how to repair the motor and controller by reviewing the circuit diagram. Obviously there is component obsolescence however that is another story. It would require someone to take the motor and controller apart.

Dropped ESC and motor today to Uni guys. They are starting tomorrow. Few comments from that meeting ...

1. One of the guys is travelling to Seattle in a week or so time. John et al ... are you guys with Gale TT's which work anywhere near there? Or do you know of anyone from the forum up there with TT?  (longshot but thought I would ask anyway).

2. Has anyone with working Gale TT ever gotten voltage readings, or better still Oscilloscope readings, off a working one? Or know of someone with that knowledge?
