Is it possible to measure road distances? not just straight, between
waypoints distances?

Hey Elaine,

You can press the Flag button on the map, and then create a point-to-point route that matches the road on the map. This will tell your the distance.

Other than that, not really. The app isn't much intended for driving, so ti doesn't have a database of streets to give you turn-by-turn type directions.

It also does have the option to kick out to Google Maps for directions between you and any POI, if that helps.
