Hosted by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, a membership-based network of
organizations working to further the green roof industry in North America.
The Symposium will focus on local research needs and obstacles to green roof
implementation and will be followed by a networking reception. The Symposium
will feature breakout sessions lead by local and national green roof experts
and will help to generate a strategy to guide the future development of a
green roof market in Oakland. Case studies of local green roof projects will
explore the challenges of upkeep, energy benefits, stormwater management,
and downtown re-investment and smart growth.
