remembering map

Hello

I'm trying Gaggle for 3 fly (2 of them, gaggle didn't made any
record :/ but I think it's because I've misunderstood the
translation) ...

I'm facing a problem : only one map is showing something (hiking
europe).
SO (dispite solving the issue) I have a suggestion : could it be
possible that gaggle memorises the last map and scale used ?

The default map named "OpenStreetMap" (wich in fact is called Osmarender based
on OpenStreetMap) has stopped serving maps on March the 1st, but opencyclemap
and hiking map both work well on my phone.

If I find the time, I'll remove the one that won't work anymore from the list
and do some clean up in the list.

Saving the last map config (tile provider, center, zoom) should also be
easy. I will try to implement that next week, when I get my computer
back :)

May I suggest you to look at "mobibalises" which has plenty maps ...
EG : google-terrain is usefull for paragliding because it knows the
name of montains

If you could even synch the two app in order to have one single map's
cache for the both app, this would be very very nice

Syncing both cache is not possible as Pedro decided to do its own map software (gaggle uses osmdroid) and to avoid gpl-alike licences.

I've been working on the use of latest osmdroid, which should fix some of the issues. It may be possible to share cache with other osmdroid app (I've to check)

I did hack this feature as an exercise, and it works :D

Downside is that it's only available in my branch using osmdroid 3.0.8,
which also breaks waypoints handling.

by the way, talking about maps, is there some news about downloading
maps for using them without a 3g network
