Subject: problem starting g4 I need to quick advice asap
I have a 12" ibook g4/1.33 ghz. I have the Leopard xos. My prblem is
the following:

* when I turned on my laptop, i needed to sign in with my
password...For some reason it wasn't accepting my password. A friend
suggested the following: insert leopard disc, turn on  laptop while
holding down C key...No problem, I went to uitltiy to change
password...Then I went to restart the computer...
*** However, I could not boot up laptop...I would turn on the laptop,
the apple icon would appear on the screen and just below the icon; I
could see the wheel rotating and rotating...Just would not stop
rotating...I'm thinking about taking it to the geek squad at beat
buy....What might be the problem????

The password change went with no error?

Could be that your caches are foo.  Try booting in to Safe Mode.
This will automatically run a disk check and rebuild the kernel
caches.  Do this by hitting the boot button them immediately holding
down the SHIFT key.  Hold that key down until you see the spinning
gear.  It will take a few mintues for the check and rebuild, so be
patient.
