Hi,

I am having issues with running on 64 bit Ubuntu 9.04, but also have
64 bit Vista running and am willing to install whatever I need to get
a stable working environment. This leads to the question that is the
subject of this post: what platforms are the primary developers using
on a day to day basis? I'd particularly like to know what you are
using Morgan. I saw a post where you mentioned building on the Mac
every day. Do you also use a linux or ms flavor?

Best,
Andrew

Right now I work (with G3D) daily on Mac OS X 10.5.8 and Windows XP.  I will probably be using OS X 10.6, Windows 7, and Ubuntu in 2010.  I'll let the others post for themselves.

Thanks very much.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that it is the 32 bit edition of XP
that you use.

Yes.  Although I've observed it running fine on the 64-bit version.  I left Vista because of GPU performance issues independent of G3D on that platform; it runs about 10% slower for peak rendering throughput.

I develop with 64-bit vista and OSX 10.5.8 as well.  My linux distributions vary.  I tend to use something small like arch linux for test builds.  I used to use suse but haven't gone back to a major distribution lately.

I'm pretty much exclusively OS X 10.6 with one machine running 64-bit Vista.

As a sideline to all this, I don't suppose anyone has had G3D building
on Fedora running on a PS3. I did try it a few months back but got a
whole stack of errors. At the time i didn't really look into it too
much as I'm struggling with basic cell processor programming, never
mind introducing g3d.

We don't support ppc anymore.
