WELCOME to the Foothill West Valley Archaeology Survey Home Page

This web page links you to documents and photographs from first season of excavations at Wilder Ranch lime kilns, called the Adams Kiln Site, perched atop the Santa Cruz mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

During Fall 2008 we will be continuing research at the archaeological sites on Wilder Ranch.

Regular Field Dates will be on EVERY FRIDAY beginning in  OCTOBER.  Contact ANDREW KINDON for DATES AND TIMES.

Next Class Spring 2009

Wilder Ranch Field Experience:  Class is at Wilder Ranch that day.  It is your responsibility to get to class at the ranch by 8AM and take part in archaeological field work for the day.  On those days we will be meeting at that location, if you want to carpool we will be organizing these on the class webpage.  Students will be required to attend TWO (2) of SIX (6) field sessions and will get extra credit for coming on more than two days. Also you may bring a friend or family member as long as they also sign a waiver.

This is not limited to only students of the class.  If you are a member of the community at large, you are certainly INVITED to  join us!

Please contact Prof. Sam Connell (connell.foothill@gmail.com), send an email through this web group, or come by my office (Foothill Rm 3017) and call 650-949-7197.  OR Andrew Kindon  Phone: 408.741.2554
