Python mask

Why python >= 2.7 are masked? Python 2.7 is required by chromium-
tools:

!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "=dev-lang/python-2.7*" have been
masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your
request:
- dev-lang/python-2.7.1::gentoo (masked by: package.mask)
/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask:
# Daniel Robbins <drob...@funtoo.org> (07 Jul 2010)
# allow users to upgrade

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's been masked to allow users to upgrade on their own as opposed to forcing everyone to do it at once. Now that there are packages depending specifically on this version,  the Core Team will review things and decide when to unmask it for everyone. In the mean time you can unmask it locally, just be sure to eselect the new version and run python-updater afterwards.
