Subject: The BGGA myth

Good day everyone,
I have heard a couple of times of times from various sources that
Functional Java requires Java 7 BGGA. This is false. Functional Java
has a requirement for Java *1.5* and nothing more (no other library,
no other Java version). It is noted however that BGGA will enhance
your use of *any Java API* and especially so for Functional Java
because of the way it is designed.

Any reference to BGGA in the context of Functional Java is in this
context; to make its use easier, but it is most definitely not
required by mandate. I'm not sure why this myth exists, given that
there are Functional Java code examples that use 1.5 syntax
http://functionaljava.org/examples/1.5

Perhaps it is the emphasis on BGGA on the Functional Java front page.

Thanks for listening, have a nice day :)
