What do you think of commissioning a logo for Functional Brighton from a graphic designer? I was thinking we could do a large-ish logo, but one which would scale down nicely to fit a twitter page, maybe in the same spirit as BrightonPy's
I've got a couple of friends who do graphic design as a side business (disclosure: they run my Zen group). One of them has training as an animator and has done a stint in the computer games industry, the other does interior decoration; and they together crank out some pretty sweet leaflets for our group. We've discussed possible motifs — I suggested lambda + something Brighton-ish — and they're thinking about how this might work.
So there are two questions really:
1. Do you want to do this in principle, assuming paying for it isn't an issue?
2. We have a quote for £200 and have a small cadre who are willing to split the cost. If you'd like to join said cadre, or just chip in a few pounds, send me an email :-)
