Tag "Free Wifi" with FindNZ and Zenbu
If you have an iPhone, you probably use Find! NZ, to find services around you. Its data comes from Zenbu. I have asked Jay (author of Find! NZ) to add "Free WiFi" as a category. bowen house freenet?
So I've started a new job, on the 14th floor of Bowen house. Is it worth me checking with the higher-ups about the possibility of getting a node up here? Will the natlib mesh reach to here and are you still trying to grow the network? Cheers R

Merakis vulnerable for botnets?

92A
Hi all, My Meraki will go offline due to 92A. Everyone that has one live after the 28th Feb 2009 should make sure he is listed as an ISP and has the control to eject users. Generally I would say though that 92A has killed Meraki and all free access WiFi networks in NZ. 92A is just the worst law going in that I've ever seen. 1:0 for the... more »

Default Meraki security configuration
Hi, here is the official word from Meraki - if you plug a Meraki in, and it cant download a configuration (because of a firewall), then you risk having your internal LAN wide open. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- ...To: TheFreeNet Aotearoa <thefreene...@gmail.com> Hi Mike, That's correct, LAN isolation is defaulted to be off. Once a config... more »
