If I go to http://download.mono-project.com/sources/ I see an fsharp/ directory from June 30 2011 which indicates it matches the April 2010 binaries.

If I go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11100 I see an fsharp.zip download published on 4/21/11 which indicates it is SP1. I'm assuming this is the most recent release, even though it is dated earlier. Is that right?

Assuming they're not the same version, should the older one be updated?

I think you should go to https://github.com/fsharp/fsharp

The second link (from microsoft) is just a zip of binaries. Not sure what the process for updating the sources included with mono is - presumably they copy from
    github.com/fsharp/fsharp

when they prepare a new release of mono.

I just noticed that (i.e., that the second is just a zip of binaries). Still, it's odd that the README-fsharp.html in the binaries is different from the README.html in the source. As far as I can tell they're both 2.0.0.0 even though the README-fsharp.html says something about SP1.
