Subject: FOSS4G Paper Submission Deadline

<Excuse the cross-post/>

All:

Allow me to interrupt the triumphant counting of your tax refund to
gently remind you of another April 15th deadline:  paper submissions
for the international geospatial open-source conference (FOSS4G)
coming to Denver in September.

Appreciating that travel budgets are tight, consider participating in
North America's 2nd largest gathering of GIS adepts.

A prominent theme of this year's conference is the hybrid use of open
source pieces and parts alongside proprietary components--we're seeing
some innovative mixing and matching that's not driven strictly by
price but also functionality, ease-of-use, etc.  So if you have a
story that includes the use of geo open source, by all means shout it
from the rooftops, or, in this case, into a microphone at the downtown
Sheraton...  You'll have the choice of presenting either in a 20-
minute format or 5-minute lightning talk, so don't let those rusty
toastmaster speaking skills get in the way of delivering illumination.

p.s.  The pre-conference workshops and tutorials are posted.  Lots of
opportunities to expand the knowledge (http://2011.foss4g.org/
workshops/)
