I have an offer one of you cannot refuse. I have two Frigidaire Flair
ranges
that I must get rid of within ~2 week. I am offering them for FREE
and through
this group because my family understands that the Flair ranges were
special and
we really want them to find a good home (for the new owner to fix and
use/sell
at least #1) or I just end up selling them for scrap metal. I need to
get rid
of BOTH of them and they must be picked up. My zipcode is 13760
(Endwell, NY).

The two ranges are:

1. Frigidaire Flair RCDB-630-2: My parents purchased the first range
new in
1962 and it was in daily use until 2 years ago. We replaced
it with a standard form factor slide in range 2 years ago. When we
removed
it, everything worked (including the clock!) except for the right
front burner.
I believe this problem is related to two broken wires and this is
easily
viewable after I removed the range which allowed me access to a cover
on the
back side. I just don't have the time to debug the range and access
to a
separate 230-240VAC line to test it. The color of the metal sides are
brown
and there is no hood or base cabinet. The control panel glass is in
good
condition.

2. Frigidaire Flair RCIB-635: was purchased as a complete unit but
some parts
have been used to repair the first range. There are still a lot of
good parts on
this range including the Heat Minder and Speed Heat swiches to
controller the
corresponding burners. The previous owner stated that only the
burners were
used, which makes sense since it appears that the oven was rarely if
ever used.
The color of the metal sides appears to be gray and there is no hood
or base
cabinet. The control panel glass is in good condition.

I have miscellaneous extra parts and a copy of the repair manual.

If more than one person is interested, I will choose the winner based
on:
1. Being able to pick up the ranges soon.
2. The assurance that you are capable and willing to repair the first
range
back to working condition. I can't emphasize strongly enough how
we want
to ensure that the first range to see continued "life".

Thanks in advance for considering my "offer".

Regards,

Dave
