Hello, hoping to find some parts for my Flair, Model number RCIH645,
not sure of the year, I need a speed heat switch marked Style 6598335,
10.6 A, Model 70014, 118V, 7 18 73 (might be year?),A.C. Only. Also
looking for knob for timer, and replacements for the knobs for the
temperature control burner, light control, ovens, mine have broken and
would be nice to have ones that are intact, not sure if I have them
set right will know more when I try to start it again. Also need the
brackets that go over the light that hold the glass in place, have one
but the other is broken at clip. If anyone has these knobs, guess a
complete set would not be a bad idea so basically looking for all the
knobs for all burners, both ovens, and light panel, maybe not
necessary but would be nice to have them intact. Moe has been super
helpful in guiding me to the removal of burners, top of stove and
removal of switch, and has some parts, but the wiring sounds different
from what I have, but perhaps someone changed it to an infinite heat
switch. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Suzy Homemaker Also any
tips on finding out the age of this range would be helpful.

Very much help, do you know if the part I am looking to replace is an original or does it sound like the 7 18 72 was date of part, I see it says King Seeley Thermos Co for use on 120 to 240 volt circuit.  I see I have alot to learn on these stoves.  Nothing like learning from experience.  I hope to get the burner working soon, I love to cook and have only used gas to cook oH might find parts is appreciated.  I see that it actually the dial plate, not the knobs, almost all seem to be broken off at stem.  Suzy

it sounds like a replacement part to me. Speed heat switches are unpredictable, sometimes, they will last the lifetime of your stove, or they have
been replaced once or twice during the lifetime, always depending on use

Mark Day and Mark Michael are experts on switches, and if I am not mistaken you can use the same speed heat switch from 1960 to 1965, and I believe it changes for
1966, but I could be wrong. I have noticed on some of the stoves I have taken apart, the speed heat switch, is aftermarket and looks different, but seems to work okay.
I do have two original factory used working speed heat switches, but will wait to hear from Mark and Mark before I venture out on this one. Suzy if you could take some close
up pictures of the condition of the needed parts, I think it will help us find what you need.

Tom, I am trying to get the pictures on computer, or shall I say my 15 year old is, will send them once I get them online with brief description.  I really appreciate your help, and Moe has been a dream, talked me thru removal of switch and of burner, do you think the stove is safe to use if I put black electrical tape over the wires from the speed heat unit and reattach glass etc.?  I can get by with the microwave, but no french press coffee for me.  Thank you and I will try to send the pictures when they get downloaded.  Suzy

There seems to be a diiffernce in the switches according to who manufactured them.

Do you have the knobs still and the brackets that hold the light in place?  If so what are you asking for them.  Susan

I need to find a "special infinite switch" for my 1960 RCIB 645 range. I located and purchased a new old style switch (the larger one with screw on connectors instead of blade connectors). However I did not use it since someone had converted the Flair Range to the "special infinite switch" (smaller switch with blade connectors). I believe the "special infinite switch" is bad since the burner gets real hot. Do you know where I can get a replacement "special infinite switch". I believe the burner is ok since it does work, even though it gets too hot.
I would like to sell the older style speed switch since I didn't end up using it and don't think it would function properly with the current burner.
I negotiated the price of the switch down to $200. Not interested in making any money so would let it go for the same. Just trying to find a happy home for it since I don't need it.

The burner would get hot and not controlled well. unless the new switch has the burner changed out.
If you have one of the new old style switches and it has screw teminals, I have not see one like that.
did you cross reference the part number

Mark thanks for getting back to me.  Yes I had a hard time finding a new old style switch and paid too much for it.
Unfortunately I got the switch before I removed the existing switch and found that the old style (screw on connectors) had been replaced with a infinite switch with blade terminals.  There is no part number on the switch. I presume when the switch was replaced, someone also replaced the burner.
I now have to find an infinite switch with blade terminals but can't find a source.
Let me know if you know where I can get one.
Thanks, Jerry Behm
