my name is sharon. pops brian.... i dnt knw if u stil here but my sis
liz kps talking bout u and ur wonderful work, i neva thought id need
u, how mistaken i was..... my gorgeous boy has become addicted to
heroin. he has been to rehab in south africa which has not helped cos
as soon as he got out he went straight back to using. he has just
turned 21. i am a single parent and he was in the custody of his dad
since our divorce. i can understand that he is sick and tired of
jaryds drug abuse and kicked him out of the house. i know its called
tough love. i also try and practice it but when he comes to my gate in
the evening asking me for food cos hes hungry, what do i do? i take
him in it starts raining how can i tell him to leave????? so he slps
ova 2 nights then it starts getting to me financially and i have to
tell him he has to leave today :( i have a 13yr old daughter and she
sees all this, please God maybe this what she is witnessing will turn
her against drugs completely. we were driving into town yesterday when
she saw jaryd and she said to me, 'mom theres jaryd and hes waving at
me, oh no mom he even smiled at me i cant do this'. i cant do this any
more, i need to get help for him and i dnt know how to, i need you
guys to help me to save my kids life, his dad is so ignorant and has
neva been a real dad, u knw tha same as u get mothers and....mothers.
well what more can i say. i know that if ja doesnt get help hes gna
either die or end up in jail, which will kill him anyway. im sorry but
ive lost my concentration with my sister (liz) talking in tha
background. hehe im not even gona bother reading this over this cos i
know its gonna sound f###ing crazy and yea i actually have no one to
help me an i dont know how to do it alone, even tho i think i can il
most probably kill myself in the process. oh yea guys u are even

YES........I am still here, haven’t gone “upstairs” yet. Just checked in the mirror!!! Saw an elderly gent with a flowing (white) beard.
Looked again and decided it WAS me, and not Father Christmas. :>))

I have also read the message sent to you by my good friend Vince.
His words are wise, and from them you should be better armed to deal with the problems before you.
But, and I am sure you are aware of this, nothing will happen until Jaryd himself decides to take the steps toward a life free of his addiction.
Without wishing to state the obvious, yet again it is not only the addicted one who suffers. All who care are affected.

If possible,try sending your boyfriend to thamkrabok asap and let him
be there for a month or two.i seriously believe he will be able to go
through the withdrawal etc,but the other problrm which i personally
thinks is when he is discharge,thats when the real challenge
begins..the metal state is more difficult than phyiscal.Hope you wont
do anything silly to yrself.take care,

again, on which Jaryd has runaway but been taken back :(. I have
spoken to his Dad. He has told me that as soon as his kids come out
the first thing he will be doing is getting their passports so that if
they relapse he is definitely sending them to the Monastery I have
filled him in on all the details in regards to the success and
treatment available in Thailand. There was conflict between him and
his ex wife out of sheer desperation she wanted them off the streets
and insisted they be sent locally again. The theft etc was getting out
of hand which we all know is part of an heroin addicts nature. Ian has
used the tough love method on his children but Sharon has kept taking
them in. I am not here to judge but have no faith in our rehabs but
will keep you posted. Thank you so much for all the support.

this must be very distressing for you and all of the family.
Of course, as you know Liz, if Jaryd and Jamie do not want to change then it will be futile to send them to Thailand with all it's dangers for alcoholics and drug addicts.

devastated. Sharon is working against him, I do not know if I must
continue helping or if I must step away. Part of me cannot as Ian is
doing his best but we all suffering and Sharon is feeding their habit.
I am getting caught in the middle of a family feud which I do not
need. I only want to see these children clean :(
