Hi all,

my name is gary and I would like firstly to wish all of you every
success with your journey back to a clean life.
My problems started after I came home from hospital after a nasty
traffic accident when I was 17,at this age I did not smoke
tobacco, drink or indulge in any kind of drug use.Within six months I
had started to use alchohol regularly every day.Next came the
amphetamines,smack,lsd etc.
Currently I have the alchohol issue well under control and have not
used any class A or prescription drugs for six years. My remaining
problems are ganja and tobacco which I have failed to quit after
countless attempts.
My cannabis use is huge and is starting to become a health
problem.Do you all think a visit to tmb would be of benefit for me
considering that the program seems to be geared towards opiate
dependance?

Thank you all for any input or comments and best wishes and deep
respect to all,

garyc.

Hi Gary,

Thamkrabok deals with all dependencies. When I was there there was a lad
who only smoked hash. Didn't drink or anything. He is very successful. It
deals with all addictions. They have dealt with over eaters as well. The
product is not of importance though some are harder to come of than others.
The medicine detox's you from what ever substances you have been using
including caffeine. I am not sure where you are from I am in Ireland and
this is just a short answer as I am running to a committee meeting. I run
the Irish website www.templedetox.ie. I am an x patient. You are more than
welcome to look at our site for information, you will find we have a page
for friends of Templedetox where you will find English, Scottish, Australian
sites etc. But I can tell you that it is very successful in so many
addictions. We have many alcoholics returning to Ireland completely clean
and still coping well. Sorry its short.

Warmest to you and there is so much hope for you once you really want to do
it. Its yours for the taking. Sounds like you are ready.

Hi Gary...
Welcome to the friends forum. Sounds like Thamkrabok
could be for you! Get as much info and input as you feel you need. I
was nervous and fearful right up until the day i arrived at Thamkrabok
after deciding 3 months previously that this was for me..my head did
not choose this my heart did, my head tried everything possible to
convince me it was the wrong thing to do. Thamkrabok is waiting on
people who are willing, and who decide to choose this detox. I cant
decide for anyone but myself. I only say once again that it was and is
the best thing i have ever done.Take care.

I just got word from the monastery and I know all those who knew him will be
very saddened as he touched so many in so many ways. But Phar Hans passed
away at 6.30 this morning. I cant say anymore.
