Is there any Paypal alternative that provides:

Free setup fee
about 3.4% of per transaction charge
around USD0.30 per transaction fee

or close?

2CO but I'm not sure if they're any cheaper and they can accept Paypal on your behalf too.

Interesting!!! Integricity has it's own payment gateway.. wondering what are the rules to set up payment gateway here in malaysia.

Does anyone know what are the T&C with respect to the money they keep before disbursing to the merchant?
If they get liquidated, will the money be safe?

Thanks!

hey george! I thought I heard someone mention that paypal is officially in malaysia? or was it clickbank..?

Nonetheless, even prior to that, I have been transferring funds to my public bank electron visa card for over 2 years already. Just that the last I check, if you are a malaysian visitor who wants to checkout with a credit card at paypal payment gateways, you'll have to register an account with paypal first before the transaction can go through. Not sure if it is still the same.

The registration before you can pay via Credit Card applies to all
countries... some even go thru extended verification process

Paypal allows withdrawal to Malaysia bank. I have tried and it works. Done
in 4 days

Hi guys,

Here's something interesting I just discovered. A client of ours, sells online mostly to Malaysians, recorded over 90% of their sales through bank transfers. Although credit card options are provided when checking out on the website, an overwhelming majority choose to pay via bank transfer.

We think that the buyers don't trust credit cards enough to buy online, especially from the smaller vendors, and they prefer to see a real company or person's name in the records when paying via bank transfer.

Useful info for those developing e-commerce sites for local buyers! :-)

If I'm not mistaken certain countries like US and UK do not need to register prior to credit card payment.

More clicks = lesser conversion.

Btw, even Google Adwords are accepting bank transfer funding. With is totally exceptional and only available in Malaysia.

Bank transfer = Malaysian way.
