Can anyone document the logic behind the Tamil font converters?

Like to build a command line version and gui version with python for Linux.

Thanks.

I can pitch in with tabulation type documnet for betwen TACE -
Uniocde. At present I am working on a a spreadsheet tabulation
consisting each and every uyir, mei, uyirmei syllables, diacritics,
grantha conjunct kssa and its split forms, shrii, digits and numbers,
symbols, vowel marker diacritics - all of which are covered in Unicode
as well as in TACE plus those additional symbols and fractions covered
in TACE only.

For each of them in addition to the element I also tabulate Unicode
and/or TACE codepoints in Hexadecimal forms. I hope to complete this
by this weekend and upload to Thamizha github.

Here is a screen shot

Guess you can write a program to read data from that spreadsheet when
completed.

I am making it so as to use it as an easy to eye reference for me to
write TACE versions of the eKalappai keymaps for tamil99, bamini,
phonetic and typewriter.

For mappings between TSCII-1.7 and Unicode see Unicode Technical
Note-15 --2 (UTN#15) in this page
http://www.unicode.org/notes/tn15/tn15-2.html dated 1 March 2007,
authored by Muthu Nedumaran - look for the download link for th
Tscii2Unicode2.pdf file there.

The download links for TAM to Unicode and TAB to Unicode conversionpdf
files are in Unicode Technical Notes 17 and 18 respectively both
dated 23 Sep 2004 and both authored by P. Chellappan - here are those
pages:

1. http://www.unicode.org/notes/tn17/
2. http://www.unicode.org/notes/tn18/

All the above 3 techincal note have to be updated to included a few
changes introduced in Unicode releases subsequent to those TNs were
released.

Hope to see from others if there are better options for these.
