Hi again,

I was wondering if this would be a good idea to let my users anonymously download and use mp3 previews when not logged to freesound website.
But when logged in, they would be able to dl and upgrade to full quality original sound file.

In both cases, my intentions are to save related information in its json format along with the sound file in order to allow full credits display of used samples.

Edit: I just made a try with freesound website, as anonymous.
Every visitor may listen to previews, so ...
The question is just about making a file out of the preview and allow its off line use.

Thanks again,
Sorry if I ask some silly questions.
As English is not my mother tongue, I may have misunderstood or not read some obvious informations.

All the best,
Arthur.

arthur,

the API does not enable you to check if a user is logged in or not. And asking your users to apply for an API key is a very bad idea. Right now API keys are automatically accepted, but in the future we will have a look at the description of the keys before we enable/disable them. We don't want 100ds of people aski

Please, just write your app with only one API key in mind and once we are no longer happy with the "anonymous" situation we will create the 3-legged authentication.
