Subject: Uploading and user authentication?

It would be great to be able to authenticate a user and upload files to
their account via the api.

We are using this api in a live-coding project called Overtone to download
audio 'dependencies' from freesound.org as needed. If we could support
uploading to to freesound, using Overtone, it would greatly improve the
overall experience.

Are there plans in this direction already?

Thanks,

-Kevin

Subject: Re: [freesound-api] Uploading and user authentication?
Hi Kevin. We have discussed adding post functionality, but you have to
think that all sounds must be described and moderated, so they would not
be instantly available.
Also, there is currently no way to authenticate as a freesound user
other than the API key used by the developer of an API client. Our first
goal is to solve this issue by adding three-legged authentication. This
means that in addition of the API key used by the developer, final users
will also have to authenticate in order to download (and maybe in the
future upload) sounds.

best,

gerard
