Subject: addresses
I appear to have lost my address file for e-mail.

When I click on address - they come up too far into the left hand side of
the screen that I cannot access any of the addresses.  Please tell me how to
be able to put the addresses back where I can access them.

Also the bar that you access email, windows etc. from
use to be at the bottom of my screen, however this is now showing down the
left hand side of the screeen.
How do I put it back at the bottom?

As you can see I am not very experienced with computers.

Thanks

Maureen
Thank you.

Evidently, as this is a newsgroup for Apple Macinitosh related issues
with Freeserve!  Try one of the following:-

freeserve.help.windows.mail
freeserve.help.windows.misc
freeserve.help.windows.news

If you left click and hold down the mouse button on the bar and drag it to
where ever you want it ,then release it, top, bottom, left, or right, you
choose, ---------your address bar does seem to have been dragged too small,
if you hold the  cusor on the vertical line that seperates the address, and
you should see a 2 pointed arrow, likewise, hold down the left button and
you can make it larger or smaller, hope that helps, Stephen.

Hold down the left mouse button, I don't know about you but mine makes a
clicking noise, and probably half the nations, just "press" then the left
button and hold it down, then drad and release. ok  Stephen.

Hi Stephen,

I'm sure your responses are well intentioned. But the sad fact is that
the originator(s) of the messages will probably never read or
acknowledge your offer of help. This newsgroup seems to be a "sink" for
misplaced newsgroup postings and sometimes even stray emails. Some of it
is down to bad posting but I think a lot of it is a quirk in Freeserve
somehow depositing lost or stray messages in this newsgroup. I'm not
sure how an email from Joe Bloggs to his sister can end up as a posting
in this newsgroup? Along with other Mac users I have replied to these
lost souls usually telling them what has happened, even advising of a
better newsgroup to post to. But not once have I received any proof that
my advise has been received never mind acknowledged. Hence, perhaps, the
somewhat synical responses (including from me occasionally!) you now
witness here.

So it seems Mr Maguire is no exception. You hold out the olive branch
and get nothing back in return.  I won't bother again.

Alan

You get the same attitude on all of the Freeserve help groups. I'm sure some
of them post and never look back for a reply thinking they've written to
Freeserve and they'll get an E-mail back.
