Hi Krishna,
The answer is complex.  You are looking at the only functioning version of FreeMED but no new features are being developed for it at this time.  Our small group of developers is very busy working on v0.9.0
Therefore, I believe that if you want to add a new religion, you will need to find someone who understands PHP-mySQL programming and who can make those adjustments for you.

Hi Volker,
Thanks for suggestion... It solved by updating lib/API.php

Am Java guy, expected static properties are part of
properties files or database lookup table.

I liked the Freemed project & let me know if i can join as part time
programmer to work on open source.

Thanks
Krishna

Hi Krishna,
Yes, Krishna, we would be exceedingly grateful for your contributions.  We are looking forward to working with you.  I will do whatever I can to see that you will be able to contribute soon.
I will send copies of this email to Jeff Buchbinder, the lead developer or FreeMED and JC Boursiquot who has worked with a team of Java programmers on the new FreeMED UI.
We would like to have you see the new version of FreeMED which is a totally new rewrite and will try to get credentials for you.
Are you on any Instant Messaging service?  Perhaps we could chat.

Be careful about adding values. The religion values are keyed to HL7,
which means that arbitrary values won't be acceptable across
installations.

Sure -- you just have to sign a CLA (Contributor's License Agreement),
which is available here:

to contribute code.
