Thanks to Giuseppe, Freemat deb packages are also available for Ubuntu
8.04. To install from Synaptic, add this to Settings -> Repositories -
> Third-Party Sofware:
deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/giuseppe-iuculano/ubuntu hardy main
Then, reload and select Freemat packages to install. Alternatively,
individual packages can be download and install manually. The first 2
packages are for both 32 and 64 bit machines:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/giuseppe-iuculano/ubuntu/pool/main/f/freemat/freemat-data_3.6+dfsg-4~hardy2_all.deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/giuseppe-iuculano/ubuntu/pool/main/f/freemat/freemat-help_3.6+dfsg-4~hardy2_all.deb
After installing the above packages, download and install the main
Freemat package:
- For 32 bit machines
http://ppa.launchpad.net/giuseppe-iuculano/ubuntu/pool/main/f/freemat/freemat_3.6+dfsg-4~hardy2_i386.deb
- For 64bit machines
http://ppa.launchpad.net/giuseppe-iuculano/ubuntu/pool/main/f/freemat/freemat_3.6+dfsg-4~hardy2_amd64.deb
Cheers,
Chuong
