Pressure to close nude beaches - a possible long term solution?

I believe a major part of the problem is the actual location of our
clothing optional beaches themselves.
Mostly they are in fairly difficult to access places or at least in
locations which are very much out of the general publics view.
You could liken it to constructing hidden dark alleyways in cities... more »

First Little Congwong, Now Obelisk and Cobblers (and Lady Jane)

A strong united naturist response is needed as now the desire among some in Greater Sydney to stop clothing-optional bathing at Little Congwong has spread to Obelisk and Cobblers. I also heard a Woolahra Council member express the desire to close Lady Jane Beach to nudity. In all 4 cases wandering, cruising, pervert males looking for public sex are blamed as the problem. What to do? Has the successor group to the Free Beach Association of NSW the Free Beaches Australia shown ANY initiative in this regard? Whether they do or not it is up to the local naturists using the Sydney beaches to respond. I have mentioned this before in the SE Queensland forum, but the model solution for naturist care of their beaches is a beach ambassador program. The South Florida Free Beaches at Haulover Beach, Miami USA started this. Members of the naturist group wear a distinctive hat and during the day walk the beach making sure no predation or sexual activity takes place.... more »
