It has nothing to do with the 'rulers', these are private companies
remember. Serves you bloody well right for privatising such essential
services. "As you sow, so shall ye reap"
There's nothing wrong with privatisation as such....
Competitiveness....driving down prices to the benefit of the consumer
(OK...so I would prefer that this competitiveness is kept more national and
much more control on global influences).
The problem here is that all regulation was relaxed re privatisation....with
bugger all control imposed at the other end....resulting essentially in
price-fixing cartels in both the wholesale supply chain and the local
providers.
Privatisation and the free market is good...so long as the market is truly
free! (which sadly it rarely is!)
