Best paint for cedarwood summer house?

Need to repaint a red cedar wood summer house. Dunno what it was done in
before, it is faded but the original paint still adheres. It looks like
some sort of matt fence paint. Cuprinol do a matt shed and fence paint,
but the container says not for smooth planed timber, which this is... I
have done the hardwood window frames and doors in semi gloss Sadolin, but
I would prefer the rest to be a matt finish. What's the best stuff, I
HATE painting, would rather spend a bit now than use cheap stuff and be
doing it again next year. Thanks.
