All joking aside this venture hasn't a hope in hell of surviving even if
the economy improves. Spencer would be best stick to telecommunications me
thinks.

Not just me involved Jim, a couple of pilots working for other
airlines as well. BTW not involved in telecoms any longer...
Re Benbecula - yeah the laying off/downgrading of the missle range
will certainly make a difference to potential customers, but initial
feedback regarding PIK - SYY is encouraging.

Yes I sussed that re telecoms. I admire your enterprise but cannot help
feel it is doomed from the outset but I will LOVE IT if proved wrong!

That is indeed good news. Please keep me posted as I would like to see this
succeed despite my misgivings!
On a similar note - how is the seaplane doing re bookings? Would this be a
benchmark service Spencer? It is in MHO very expensive for what it offers.
Can you envisiage being able to offer more attractive pricing?

Re the seaplane service don't know about yield levels but regard it
more as a tourist venture - ie treat for expensive lunch in Oban or
Tobermory rather than a regular air route. Regarding our pricing
economics 101 means we have to be price and time competitive with
existing carriers. Interesting that Ryanair have announced an increase
in Stansted flights from PIK - gives us more connections... as long as
you don't mind Rayanir treating you as SLF....

IIRC the Glasgow-Oban sea plane service is £150 return or thereabouts,
and it's 'city centre' to 'city centre' so to speak, add £2 car
parking at the Science Centre and I'd say all in that's pretty good
value.
