Aer Lingus (EI/Dublin) will start thrice weekly Dublin-Palma de Mallorca with B737-500 equipment on June 3. In addition, it is reported to
be planning to start services from Dublin to Bordeaux, Malta, Murcia, Reykjavik Keflavik and Toulouse this summer. It will reportedly give
up its Dublin-London City route in September.
Aéris Express (Paris Orly) will start thrice daily B737-300 service between Paris Orly and Nice on July 5.
Aerosvit Airlines (VV/Kiev Borispol) suspended its Kiev Borispol-Bangkok services until September.
Air 2000 (DP/Manchester) is offering an A320-200 and an A321-200 for wet-lease.
Air France (AF/Paris CDG) will start thrice daily Bordeaux-London Gatwick service operated by Brit Air (DB/Morlaix) with CRJ-100s on May 19.
Air Greenland (GL/Nuuk) has started twice weekly B757-200 service between Copenhagen and Akureyri in northern Iceland on April 28.
Air Italica (Pescara) is planning to start operations in June offering flights from Pescara to Catania, Milan Malpensa, Milan Orio al Serio,
Turin and Venice Marco Polo.
Air Omega UK (Augsburg) is now planning to use Do328JETs instead of ERJ-135s as announced earlier to start flights from Augsburg to Berlin
Tempelhof, Dusseldorf and Hamburg.
Air One (AP/Rome Fiumicino) will inaugurate daily Turin-Lamezia Terme service on June 1. Air One is reportedly planning to start flights
from Trapani to Bari, Catania, Lampedusa, Milan, Pantelleria, Rome Fiumicino and Venice Marco Polo.
Air Plus Comet (A7/Madrid) will reportedly operate two B737-300s on behalf of Hapag-Lloyd Express (X3/Cologne/Bonn).
Air Scotland (Edinburgh) has terminated its cooperation with Electra Airlines (ELD/Athens) after just a month of operation. It has replaced
Electra Airlines by Air Holland (HLN/Amsterdam) which is operating B757-200s on behalf of Air Scotland. Electra Airlines had its two
aircraft seized at Scottish airports due to outstanding landing fees.
Air Slovakia (GM/Bratislava) is planning to start four times weekly Birmingham-Bratislava-Amritsar service with a leased B757-200 on June
29.
Air Ukraine (6U/Kiev Borispol) suspended its Kiev Borispol-Beijing services until further notice.
Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino) has given up its five times weekly Rome Fiumicino-Beirut service and has inaugurated daily A320-200 service
from Milan Malpensa to Beirut instead. In other news, Alitalia resumed nonstop service from both, Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, to Tel
Aviv Ben Gurion, so far all flights were operated with a stop in Larnaca.
Austrian Airlines (OS/Vienna) will temporary withdraw of its Vienna-Montreal Dorval route during the upcoming winter season. In other news,
Austrian suspended its Vienna-Beijing service until further notice. Austrian Airlines is planning to start flights between Vienna and
Baghdad as soon as possible.
Blue Airlines (Rome Ciampino) has wet-leased a Beech 1900D from Rossair Europe (ROS/Lelystad). The aircraft will be used on its
Grosseto-Siena-Milan Linate and Milan Linate-Trieste routes.
bmibaby (WW/East Midlands) is planning to start flights between Manchester and Prague in late October.
British Airways (BA/London Heathrow) is resuming thrice weekly service between London Heathrow and Kuwait. All flights will however operate
via Larnaca at a first stage. It is also planning to resume thrice weekly B767-300ER service between London Heathrow and Baghdad after 13
years. British Airways is reportedly considering pulling out of more UK regional markets, destinations mentioned are the Isle of Man,
Newquai and Plymouth. In addition, it could also give up more services out of Birmingham and Manchester.
Carpatair (V3/Bucharest Baneasa) has wet-leased a Saab 2000 from Swiss (LX/Zurich).
Cirrus Airlines (C9/Saarbrucken) is reportedly considering an order for several Do328JETs.
Cyprus Airways (CY/Larnaca) will start five times weekly Larnaca-Beirut-Dubai service on July 1.
dba (DI/Munich) is reportedly planning to start flights from various German airports to Rome Fiumicino.
Donbass Eastern Ukrainian Airlines (7D/Donetsk) is planning to start thrice weekly Yak-42D service between Donetsk and Vienna on May 3.
easyJet (U2/London Luton) will start four times daily Paris Orly-Nice service on June 3, four daily flights from Paris Orly to Toulouse on
July 1 and thrice daily service from Paris Orly to Marseilles as well as daily service from Paris Orly to Barcelona and Milan Linate on July
15.
European Executive Express (RY/Karlstad) has postponed the launch of its three daily Stockholm Bromma-Helsinki services with Jetstream 31
equipment to September 1.
Finnair (AY/Helsinki) will give up its Helsinki-Dublin route at the end of October.
Flybe. (BE/Exeter) signed an order for 17 Dash 8-400s including options on another 20 aircraft of the same type.
Hapag-Lloyd Express (X3/Köln/Bonn) is reportedly planning to set-up a third base at either Basle/Mulhouse, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden or

Hellas Jet (T4/Athens) will start operations on June 23, the new carrier will operate two daily flights from Athens to Brussels and Paris
CDG and daily services from Athens to London Heathrow and Zurich.
Hex’Air (UD/Le Puy) gave up its Chambéry-Paris Orly route last week.
Jet2 (Leeds/Bradford) will start four times weekly service from Leeds/Bradford to Prague on September 4, at a later stage it will also add
flights from Leeds/Bradford to Faro.
JetAlliance (JAF/Vienna) took delivery of a MD-83 which will be used for VIP charters.
KLM (KL/Amsterdam) will resume its flights between Amsterdam and Kuwait on May 5.
LOT (LO/Warsaw) has stopped wet-lease operations with a B767-300ER on behalf of Universal Airlines (UW/Georgetown) due to unpaid leasing
rates.
LTU (LT/Dusseldorf) will reportedly start several weekly services between Dusseldorf and Montego Bay at the end of October.
Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt) has suspended its services from Munich to Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai Pu Dong and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion due to low
demand. Lufthansa will inaugurate twice daily Frankfurt-Stavanger service operated by Lufthansa CityLine (CL/Cologne/Bonn) with CRJ-700s on
June 1. Lufthansa will store an additional 15 aircraft until further notice.
Minerva Airlines (N4/Trieste) will start daily Do328-110 service from Genoa to Brussels on May 5. In addition, it is planning to add flights
from Genoa to Barcelona and Bari.
MyTravel Airways (VZ/Manchester) will base an A320-200 at Liverpool this summer season.
Olympic Airways (OA/Athens) is once again facing more difficulties as the European Commission is planning to take legal action against
Greece for failing to reclaim illegal subsidies of 194 million EUR.
Ryanair (FR/Dublin) has started talks to the operator of Belfast Intl and London Luton airports on the set-up of bases at those airports.
SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen) temporary suspended its Copenhagen-Singapore Changi route until at least mid-May.

Swedline (T9/Torsby) will take delivery of two Saab 2000s during this winter season.
Swiss (LX/Zurich) is currently operating two ERJ-145s on behalf of Jetmagic (GX/Cork). Jetmagic will take over the aircraft and start
operations under an own AOC at the end of May.
Tarom (RO/Bucharest Otopeni) has temporary suspended its weekly flight from Bucharest Otopeni to Beijing.
Transaero Airlines (UN/Moscow Domodedovo) is planning to launch weekly B767-200 service between Moscow Domodedovo and Taipei Intl on May 26.
Virgin Atlantic Airways (VS/London Heathrow) is planning to start service between London Heathrow and Baghdad as soon as possible.
Volareweb.com (Venice Marco Polo) will start five times weekly A320-200 service between Rimini and London Gatwick on June 16, daily service
between Milan Malpensa and Frankfurt Hahn as well as four times weekly service between Venice Marco Polo and Prague on June 23. It will
launch a weekly service between Milan Linate and Lampedusa on June 1.
